Quickstart

This guide walks you through signing in, creating a project, running your first query, and viewing the results.

Before you begin

Antlect is available to approved organisations. If you don’t have an account yet, request access from the landing page. An administrator reviews each request and you’ll receive an email when your account is activated.

1. Sign in

Go to the Antlect app and click Login. Antlect uses secure single sign-on, and you’ll be redirected to the login page, and back into your workspace once authenticated.

2. Create a project

Everything in Antlect lives inside a project: a container for related queries, threads, and reports.

1. From the sidebar, click the + button.
2. Give the project a name that describes the investigation, for example Quantum computing capability: NZ universities.
3. The project opens in the workspace view.

3. Run your first query

1. Inside the project, start a new query from the thread panel.
2. Type a research question in plain language, for example:

   Who are the leading researchers in photonics across New Zealand universities, and who funds them?

3. Optionally tune the query: choose the dimension you care about (people, institutions, funding) and the metrics to rank by.
4. Run the query. The thread panel shows each step of the analysis live as it executes.

4. Explore the results

When the query completes, the results view opens with three tabs:

• Summary: a synthesised answer with the key entities and findings.
• Publications: the underlying publication record.
• Patents: related patent activity.

Use the Graph mode toggle at the right end of the tab bar to switch the same result set into an interactive network graph.

5. Save your findings into a report

Select the artifacts you want to keep and add them to a report. The report editor gives you a full rich-text environment (headings, tables, images, and live charts) and exports to PDF when you’re ready to share.
