Opening the graph
From any results view, click the Graph mode toggle at the right end of the tab bar. The graph replaces the tab content in place; clicking any tab returns you to the standard views without losing the graph’s state for that query.Reading the graph
Each node is an entity from your result. Nodes are sized and coloured by type, with the entity’s initials inside the circle and its name below:
Edges show relationships: affiliation (a person belongs to an organisation) and collaboration (entities that work together).
The layout is physical: tightly connected clusters pull together, bridges between communities stretch out. You can drag any node to reposition it, scroll to zoom, and drag the background to pan.
Controls
The control bar above the graph gives you:- Search: type a name or keyword; matching nodes stay at full strength while the rest of the graph fades back, so matches stand out without losing context.
- Type filter: restrict the view to one entity type (for example, only People) to simplify a dense graph.
- Reset: clears search, filter, and zoom back to the default view.
- Pop out: detaches the graph into a floating panel you can drag anywhere in the window, useful for keeping the graph visible while you read the tab views or write a report.
