# Cookie Policy

> What cookies Antlect uses, why, and how to control them.

This policy explains how Antlect Limited, formerly AcademicFellows Limited, uses cookies and similar technologies on antlect.com and docs.antlect.com.

## 1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They allow a site to recognise your device, keep you signed in, and understand how the site is used. Similar technologies include local storage and pixels; this policy refers to all of them as cookies.

## 2. How we use cookies

We use cookies for the following purposes.

**Strictly necessary.** These cookies are required for the Services to function and cannot be switched off through our settings. They include:

* session and authentication cookies, including cookies set by Auth0 during sign-in;
* security cookies set by Cloudflare to protect the Services from malicious traffic.

**Preferences.** These cookies remember choices you make, such as interface settings, so you do not need to set them again on each visit.

We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we do not sell information collected through cookies.

## 3. Third-party cookies

The providers named above set cookies in the course of delivering their services to us. Their use of that information is governed by their own privacy policies. We do not permit third parties to use cookies on our sites for their own advertising purposes.

## 4. Managing cookies

Most browsers allow you to block or delete cookies through their settings. If you block strictly necessary cookies, parts of the Services will not function, including sign-in. Instructions are available in your browser's help documentation.

## 5. Cookies and personal information

Where information collected through cookies identifies you, it is handled in accordance with our [Privacy Policy](/legal/privacy-policy) and the New Zealand Privacy Act 2020 and, where applicable, the Australian Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
